  • In your initial plead, you mention 40 babies caught in an adoption process.

As I watched the vid only 17 babies were pictured with what appears to be a statement from the "parents" about them. Do all 40 babies actually have families? If not,

shouldn't your plead be for the babies who actually do have families?

If all 40 babies do, then they all need to participate to bring validity to your call.

    Guatemalan Children deserve truthfulness!

  • While the babies living at Casa Quivira were assigned to families before the raid, the express purpose of the video is to encourage the Guatemalan government to order these babies back to Casa Quivira and allow them to care for the babies in a way that is safe, nurturing and loving. All of the adoptive parents were invited to provide a statement and photos, but for reasons of length of the video we had to chose only a few.

  • I see you post from Guatemala and may or may not have seen news coverage that allows you question what I know to be true about Casa Quivira. My husband and I have adopted from Casa Quivira and know hundreds of other adoptive parents who will defend Casa Quivira. They know how important it is to have infants protected in every way. Sadly in Guatemala, that is not always the way homes for children are managed.

  • These babies are the responsibility of ALL of us until they find their forever family. It is the responsibility of ALL of us to make sure they are loved and protected...the only voice they have is ours.

  • I hope, as you appear to be a person who is close to this issue, that you will believe what I say to be true (you are right...the babies AND the people of Guatemala deserve the truth). I hope you will let others know that the future of Guatemala lies in the hands of these children and these children will always know where they came from. In the future, I believe many of them will want to go back to their birthplace and help to make it the beautiful country it deserves to be.

  • Juan David... was to by my son

  • Ah adoption agencies/attorneys still corrupt and going strong. Bless you who are wanting to adopt these babies, for I was one of the lucky ones raised by loving parents. I am 47 and still have no rights according to my agency, it is not enough to know just what state/country you are from, there is more. I still no say in what everyone decided was best, which honestly was, my 1st mom was only 15. But we are both adults now, let us decide. Love your children and never doubt their love for you.

  • so why cant your president help you all find your babies? he is determined to send your sons to war for peace so why cant he help you?

  • ...Eighteen other mothers could not be found under the identities that case files provided, prosecutors said.

  • ...The attorneys have been charged with fraud and human trafficking: The probe of Casa Quivira — where 46 children in the process of being adopted by U.S. families were seized in a government raid last August — turned up a slew of irregularities, including at least five cases in which birth mothers were allegedly given false identities to avoid having to seek permission from family members and a judge to give up their babies...

  • From boingboing dot net:

The Guatemalan government seems eager to make a punitive example out of one high-profile adoption agency in particular -- Casa Quivira. The country's biggest baby-bust yet broke this week, and involves two attorneys who represented that agency, which was once considered the most "legit" in the country...

  • I am a child from this program and am no different than these children and feel so bad for them the only difference is the time and I am ten now..........

  • Guatemalan adoptions could close at year end. This due to a huge $ incentive from Unicef. Please read more about Unicef and their policies before donating this Halloween or ever. Please ask Unicef to support a soft transition to Hague Compliance. Thousands of children are at stake!

  • I hope the Guatemalan government officials come to their senses and quickly resolve this terrible matter. Henry F, Indianapolis
