Hey guys! I've got a special surprise lesson here!

My piano tuner came up to tune my piano, and I got him to do a little lesson for me, and share his extensive knowledge about tuning temperaments, the process of tuning, and the mechanical workings of the piano!

Keep in mind this WASN"T planned, it just sort of happened ^_^

I'm breaking this up into 2 parts otherwise i would need to comprises the quality to much. So look for part 2! that's when we pull the action and show what happens when you depress a key and how it all works together!

  • @Lypur hi do you have a video for the piano tech ?

  • about your hair: were you going for the Edward look or the I just stuck my finger in a electrical socket look? o.O

  • Good observation. I had the same question until I noticed there is a white muting strip just behind the dampers running across all the strings. He doesn't mention it but the piano was muted up before they began the video, apparently.

  • Immense instructional!

  • Maybe so, but nothing can match an acoustic piano.

  • You bet.

  • Thank you very much. This was very helpful. I'm a piano restorer with very little tuning experience. My father used to tune the pianos but since he passed on I just hire one. I need to do my own tuning now and know nothing about temperaments and stretching octaves. Thanks for posting this.

  • wow, rarely does one find someone muture enough to respond to a comment like mine the way you did.

abviously, i meant it in jest, for, truethfully, i learned quite a bit and am very apreciative for your videos.
