@flumpflimp I have 3 squirrel monkeys, and my mother-in-law 3 capuchins as pets.They are my world. One I hand raised, the other 2 I took in. They are 3, 5, and 6yrs. I looked up that organiztion when I saw you vid. Looked wonderful. I would LOVE to do that...but my guys kind of have me tied down. Unfortunately I don't think I could leave for that long. It looked like an amazing experince though.

@eemetzger Oh my god...you actually tasted a cricket! I must admit I have eaten monkey chow, but I would Never stick a cricket, or in my case a mealworm which my monkeys LOVE in my mouth...Must draw the line somewhere... :) But it is the greatest feeling when they actually share their food with you. Then you know they have accepted you, as part of the troop as you said.

You have developed trust. They will feed you when they consider you a part of the troop. Most monks will hoard or guard food especially when suppliies are short. To further develop trust you must eat and not reject. Cricket wings are Incredibly tasty***not***.

How long did you work there for? Getting a monkey a specially an older one, which he looked to be by his size, to trust you that much AND share their foor is not easily accomplished, especially if semi-wild. That is VERY rewardings. Kudos to you. Looked like fun ;)

@xeileen916x I worked in that part for 2 months. One of the best monkeys I've ever met. He's been missing for a while now. Hopefully integrated with another group, but we'll probably never know. The organisation I volunteered with are called Inti Wara Yassi. When you say 'your monkeys', what do you mean exactly?
