@joeblow238 To mess with your head even more, Robert's main language was French which alot of the lowland nobles spoke due to the Norman influence. Robert is only Scottish by birth, his roots go back to Norman and French lines.

I barely know anything about the history of Scotland. I guess I just never really found it important, since I'm concentrating mostly with the Crusades in the East, but I suppose I should take a look at the Scots. It can't hurt, right?

@Cadiavii Welcome to my world.

@alkiv8 big innacuracies, they didnt have kilts at that point, nor where they speaking modern english, william wallace and robert the bruce spoke scots-gaelic as a first language, the biggest blunder is, its rober the bruce who is known as braveheart not william wallace
-
@RunicAxe your right, robert the bruce killed alot of his own scots, be that as it may, he fought for scotland and won its freedom

This just makes me go all patriotic and anti-English. I like this song :D

Grande som. Realmente quando a banda é boa a gente consegue entender a mensagem mesmo sem conhecer profundamente o idioma. Fico arrepiada com os arranjos e vocais. Demais!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the last time i heard this song was 5 years and maybe was the first metal song that i heard but now i stuck again with this song
Great video. I wonder how could they portray Robert the Bruce like that in Braveheart. This song describes him much better, as he really was, a red-handed slayer. I mean, the guy killed "Red" Comyn in a church to get the crown. Killed the fully armoured lance-charging English champion at Bannockburn with a powerful axe strike on his horse. He wasn't a saint, but surely he was a capable leader and warrior.

Indeed, Braveheart is a good movie but it's also notorious for its historical inaccuracies, the portrayal of Robert the Bruce wasn't by far its only transgression,I mean they had the battle of Stirling bridge taking place on a plain! I guess they kept whatever suited them and made up the rest.
