Africa's painted dog (wild dog or hunting dog) is one of the most endangered predators in the world. There are only an estimated 3,000-5,000 of these carnivores left.
After being hunted as a pest, caught in traps left for the bush meat trade, and being pushed out of their own territory by the population growth, the wild dog is in serious trouble.
But we CAN help.
Conservation efforts are taking place right now to ensure this dog stays around or some time. Please support animal conservation and keep the wildlife alive!

In 2010, I finally had the chance to see Painted Dogs in the Wild!
check it out here:
*Canines all around the world are in trouble, whether it is a wolf being legally killed here in the US in the Yellowstone region, a domestic dog being killed for its fur in China, or a wild dog being shot as a pest in Africa, they all need our attention. We as people can do a better job in taking care of man's best friend and his relatives.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!
