Bid for his design at http://www.mauricelacroix.com or http://www.wallpaper.com/mauricelacroix
Departing from his native Israel in 1988, Arik Levy has since gone on to establish himself as a force in the creative world. Artist, photographer, technician and designer, Levy describes his compulsion to create as 'an uncontrollable muscle'.
Now based in Paris, Levy - among his many guises - is the creative director of 'L Paris'', where he works with a 20-strong team of designers and graphic artists, producing 'honest design'.
An ideal candidate then, for Maurice Lacroix's Pontos Décentrique GMT project. Condensing his freewheeling approach to the confines of a watch face, Levy has focused on the textural interaction between materials.
Taking the classic aesthetic of the Pontos Décentrique GMT, Levy has adapted Maurice Lacroix's original design with a contemporary twist, using layers of rubbed metal to create a subtle sense of depth.
Levy plans to donate the proceeds of this summer's auction to Sinjiya-Ton, a charity dedicated to the aid of Malian street children.
