A fun and fascinating release from Bandai, here's an ultra-realistic, 1/12-scale electronic reproduction of the Gundam's Beam Saber...which just happens to be the perfect scale for a person to use! This 27.4cm-long scale toy of Gundam's mainstay weapon electronic lights and plays sounds (20 different sound effects and eight of Amuro Ray's famous phrases) from the speaker at its end. A sensor device embedded inside detects motion so that appropriate sound effects will be played with each swing. It has two different play modes: Fighting Mode allows you to practice your Beam Saber moves, and Scenario Mode lets you play through a total of seven stages of famous battles from the One Year War! The Beam Saber will run for about 90 minutes on three AAA batteries (not included). A custom display stand is provided. Perfect for cosplay use, engaging in Beam Saber duels with others, or practicing Gundam's Beam Saber moves while watching the classic anime!

@ChuuninJ ultrasabers initiate saber: $50. It comes with a blade. So I'd say this still isn't as good.

@CyberQ3000 Star wars sabers are FAR better: Better looking, they have blades, and Ultrasabers are customizable and have soundboards you can reprogram with your own Sfx.
