as we see albanians say that they are illyrians and they want theyir land back but as we see illyria is north of epirus not at epirus

Greek independence was won only by the help of albanian orthodox warriors of epirus who were fighting together with the greeks to get a free epirus and a free greece from the ottoman empire in the 18th century.
Marko Bocari leader of the mythic albanian suliotes and Theodor kolokotroni who was an arvanitas and became a general of the greek army against ottomans, are now the symbols of independence war and national heroes in greece.
Even the best independence greek heroes are ALBANIANS.

So if the greeks didn't know epirus tribes very well ( antic historian greek thucidydes call them barbarians ) , epirotes were not greek. The term greek it is used by romans for hellenic tribes and the romans never called epirus in name of greece but EPIRUS.
Albanians are the true discendents of epirotes and illyrians wich were diferent branches of the same language.
