Please Help to Legalize Ferrets in California

Please help to legalize ferrets in California. Ferrets are legal in 48 other states, but not legal in California because the Dept. of Fish & Game will not admit that they made a mistake so many years ago when they said that if ferrets would ever get out in the wild, they would form a feral colony and destroy wildlife. They are 100% Wrong.
Please help us.

I seriously think that Ferrets being illegal is SO stupid. Ferrets are very similar to cats. So, why arent cats illegal??? Cats and dogs. What if a cat or dog ran away and mated with some wild animal and screwed up some species?? SAME THING PEOPLE! MAKE FERRETS LEGAL IN CALI!! Have the right to enjoy the company of a ferret. The last instance that the permit but under safety standards such as sterilization, for example in Chile (where I live), SAG (Agricultural and Livestock Service), allowed the entry of these species under strict rules for tenure as pets (must be sold sterile) and business (complete reproductive organs) go through strict testing and meet stringent requirements to be authorized. I have kept ferrets all my life and love them, but I agree with the reasons why California ban them. One of your statements was ferrets are thousands times less likely to bite than dogs, this is bullshit as I have been bitten hundreds of times by ferrets, I have never been bitten by a dog dispite keeping dogs all my life. Also if the ferrets did escape and form feral colonies they probably would affect the local wildlife population by killing lots of it.

California has this attitude of knowing what's better for everyone else. Even though 48 out of the 50 states where ferrets are legal have reported zero issues, California still holds fast to some b.s. idea of ferrets harming their fragile ecosystem. Give me a break.

Ferrets are pets- not wild animals. If those stupid people did there research on ferrets they'd realize the truth!

It would take a lot of money and time to bring the truth out about the domestic ferrets. I also have 4 and live in San Antonio Texas. Other states prove that the law is wrong about the ferrets. If there is a will, then there is a way, but it would probably cost a lot.
