  • im afraid to eat now

  • this saved my daughter's life

  • hand placement to high on the abdominal thrusts.

  • I think they shouldve mentioned that if you practise the thrusts, only make very weak ones (in a real situation of course not) cause with this technique you really can harm abdominal organs... otherwise, great job! :)

  • @wcresponder This technique can also be make in a "solo-mode" (it also works if you're choking and you're alone).. What you have to do is to put the region of the abdomen (where the hands go) in the back of the chair and then push it agains you.

    Thats what I learned...

I hope I answered your question clearly, I'm not a english native speaker...

PS: I think you can also do this sitting down (the victim infront of you)

  • and what happens if you have a weaker rescuer? or smaller rescuer that can't get to the shoulders?

  • @aimeeannscuderi nothing nerdy about not sitting on your arse all day :)

  • ...looked so wrong

  • @Voldenjunior I think The British Red Cross know what they are doing!

  • @Voldenjunior This is the British Red Cross, I think they know what they are doing.
