We're not ashamed of our heritage or traditional Asian culture. You have to own up to your stereotypes before others try to use them against you. You've heard of Bruce Lee right? :)

We (I am an asian) need to embrace who we are. And we should cheer, support, and applaud hard working athletes who break the "stereotypes" and make it. But we also need to understand they are very special and hardworking. They are one of a kind. The fact will not change....avg black bball player will be better than azn bball player. However azns are also better than other races at a lot of things. Be proud of who u r, but do not blatantly deny the facts.

Just cuz Lin made the NBA...u think there will be 100 azn players who r really good in the NBA by 2020? Yao n Lin will def. help some azn players to not get overlooked and they will give asians players hope; however, it is not like white people r not trying hard....What Lin is doing is amazing and is helping the asian athletes.I think there will definitely be more azn players in the NBA cuz of them. All that said, there are very good reasons why there are more black people in the NBA and NFL.

But am I saying black people are more superior than azns?

    No.

Azns use chopsticks so their finger muscles are much more articulate than other races. So there are a lot of great surgeons. Azns have their own specialties as well.

I think just categorizing every azn bball players are bad is wrong because there are a lot of good players; however, we have to accept the stereotype to certain degree because there are a lot of truth behind it. That is why Lin is special because he is an exception.

Myb they need to be quicker, faster, and stronger. Of course there are exceptions.

Cha Bum Kun, Ichiro, Park Ji Sung, Lin, and etc. They are amazing and I envy them, but why is the list so short? Because they are exceptions. They worked their ass off and myb, they were given with little more athletic ability than other asians. I never said all azns are bad at bball, but overall because of probability and evolution, avg black bball player is better than azn bball player.

I think people get confused about everyone having equal rights and not created the sm.

NO matter what race you r, u should not be discriminated and u are entitled to your rights; however, everyone is made differently. If you look at galapagos islands, animals evolved differently even though islands were very close to each other. That is because the habitat was different.

To survive in the jungle/plains against very dangerous animals, people living in those regions need faster muscle response.

    How is that ignorant?

That is math and general knowledge.

For Example: Asians play more badminton and table tennis.....look who dominates that sport. Since more azn players play that sport, the probability of a gold medalist coming out from AZN countries is high. And since asians play more...over time they developed techniques so they become even more superior at that sport. Another example: There are a lot of great soccer players from Brail because it is a very soccer oriented country.
