this one was shot from about 13,200 feet near aspen colorado. on the night of sat the 11th to sunday the 12. it was about 38 degrees up there. If anyone watching found an MSR Dragonfly camping stove on independence pass can you let me know? I left mine up there, and it was gone by the time I got back...

I caught some really bright meteors in this video i think i got 13 total in this clip. there is no way you can see them all at this resolution. I got a lot of planes and satellites in this one too.

all of the video that i shoot is shot at a resolution of 10+ megapixels shot with canon DLSR cameras so there is a ton of detail that is lost in the conversion to youtube.

  • Awesome video. I hoep to see some early tuesday morning. The Perseids happen every year from july thru august peaking on aug 11-12th.

  • they have been going on for about a week now. go out and look, dont wait for the peak. lots out there even now

  • This is exactly what I was looking for during that summer night. Drove 3 hrs north of NY. Unfortunately the skies turned cloudy, not to mention I also got lost, but certainly enjoyed the ride.

My goal is to see a meteor storm during my life time. Last night I was told these only happen every 23 years. If I get lucky I'll get to see two :-)

  • they happen 4+ times a year search google for meteor storm you will find tons of info

  • maybe a hobo stole your stove dude

  • hobos cant make it up to 13,000 feet..

see all

  • When its cloudy youd mistake it for lightning

  • Wow this is amazing. I can't believe it only has 5K views - and 6 (now 7) comments! I've ALWAYS wanted to go somewhere where there's a sky like this - it's like there isn't even an atmosphere, or compared to a city sky. Can you get anywhere NEAR this kind of sky at sea level? Thanks for all your videos btw.

  • it's amazing how you cant see a single star out in the city but in like the desert you can see like a cagillion stars

  • Perseids occur during begging from 4th to 20th of august ; its zenith its around 12-13 august. If you occur to be in the north hemisphere of the earth your have changes to see more of them, and in that case you have to look North East in the sky.
