The Asian Ladybeetle *is* a ladybug-- it's just not a ladybug native to North America. For some reason, after being introduced without much success dozens of times over the last century, the guys not only survived a couple of decades ago, their populations exploded in North America and in Europe. No one knows why this Asian species is, suddenly, so massively ... successful. I am suspecting climate change is at the heart of it. Bad news if you're allergic. Good news if your garden has aphids.
this is stupid.
