rock n roll music originates from swing music, and r&b music of the 50's mate. also country music and blues of the time along with gospel had the main influences it werent just swing music. Black artists of the 50's creating R&B and fast Jazz Songs are the people to thank. people such as count basie and Roy Brown that started in the mid 40's to lates 40's. The likes of Bill Haley who was pretty much the first and kicked it all off in the early 50's was influenced by R&B musicians.
