  • This song belongs in the same category with Tom Waits' "Day After Tomorrow," (which Joan Baez is also now singing) and of course the old classic: "Where have all the flowers gone?" When WILL we ever learn? I hope soon.

  • @CrystaltheAmazon High praise - thanks so much.

  • Wow. We were given the "Empower" CD for Christmas (by our Unity minister) and first heard this song a few weeks ago. I don't believe we will ever, no matter how many times we hear it, be able to listen all the way through without crying, but this video (especially near the end) really brings it home and busts open the doors of the heart! My actual name is Crystal, and I thank you for this one!

  • @CrystaltheAmazon Thanks Crystal. Hard for me to play it all the way through, too. - Greg

  • Have some kleenex handy is right. This song destroys me every time I listen to it, and at this point, that's a lot of times. Thank you, Greg, for posting this one.

  • @Weimlady Thank you. It's such a powerful and amazing story, I'm honored to have made it into a song with my co-writer Lance Cowan.
