Aww gee, I really liked those message blocks, though! Not even in a "oh man gonna parody overly serious business or something"-sense. It's hard to describe, actually, they just made me smile. They offered some really interesting flavor with their stark contrast to, say, the silly level names, making them almost disorienting. I think you are exactly right on that point. Mario's inner dialogue is accessible only by hitting his head on speaker boxes. I thought they were a nice touch. They were poems, which are a form of art, just like level design. Also, after wathing zillions of Mario romhacks on the Tube, I was impressed with AxemJinx's spelling and grammar.
Damn, Super Marisa World/Land? That was gonna be my guess, but it doesn't seem THAT obscure, so I got thrown off. Here's hoping you don't go insane/bitter like in VIP4, as I heard that game is HARD, and there are no savestates to use...
