@Ezekeiel they couldnt use it, it was too old, and scrap metal is more valuable then a three story monument to rust and decay. does it make sense now why they destroyed it?

Assuming air temp is 20C you seem to be about 1.5Km away from the tower, where d=v.t v=343m/s and t=4.5 sec .... COOL!!
