  • @andylam73 Yeah, it's a beautiful plane. Sorry if I sounded rude, and and I hope you enjoy your evening as well. :)

  • @iceagescrat1

i am trying to say that could be another reason( cutting down noise)but i failed to consider. thx for asking. anyway the shape of the engine is real cool and i just love it so much.

  • @andylam73 Thanks. Actually it uses different material to for less weight. And if it was another reason that you have thought of, then why does your first comment say you couldn't think of any other reason?

  • @iceagescrat1

yeh it could another reason that i have thought of. thx. but i believe it serves the purpose of minimizing the use of material as well. enjoy the evening.

  • @andylam73 Actually it's purpose is to make the engines quieter... the new 747 will be bigger, quieter, be more efficient, and have a longer range than the 747-400. The engines do look cool though.

  • @iceagescrat1

i guess that is for minimize the material and so is the weight. besides that i cant think of any reason for such "saw teeth like" case. but it looks cool too.

  • @devan465, this is obviously the 747-8F (the cargo version). The 747-8 Intercontinental has a longer upper deck.

  • finally i can sleep peacefully on long flights

  • This is a much better looking aircraft than the 747-8I. Much more in the tradition of 747s from the past. The passenger variant now looks "incomplete" to me, having gone beyond the distinctive hump and only having half an upper deck. The 400series was the best looker and best overall.

  • Anyone else notice the thing hanging from the back of the tail?At :39 and :20 ?
