@Treyworld It's not just slang. It's offensive. Say "cunt" all day long and it won't really hurt anyone. Use the term "rape" inappropriately and it can truly hurt someone. It minimizes people's real pain and it's just not okay to use that term. It makes light of the pain felt by men and women who are affected by the violence. I can say, "spieg mah fokken hol nat" and "maak me jags" when I sing along with Die Antwoord, but if that band were to make light of rape, I've have to stop listening.

@artistenoire Slang and naughty/offensive language is all around the world. THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT. LIVE WITH IT.

@artistenoire sorry to hear about that. and i do agree

@amantheosm117 I think the term "rape" is appropriate in describing what happened to the native americans' land. That was a brutal takeover. Your argument is shoddy. Many people who I am close to have been sexually assaulted, as well as myself. I don't like the term "rape" to be used to describe someone beating you in a video game, making a stupid video/pornographic image about something you liked as a child, etc. It's just inappropriate, like when people say "fa---t" or "ni----r."

@artistenoire "the white man raped my land." so when you hear that you think that a white man has had forced the land to have sex with him? hay, dont get me wrong, rape is bad, but it has different meanings to it. take "gay" for example, it used to mean happy, now it means someone who is attracted to the same sex, but people use "gay" instead of saying stupid, like "oh, that movie was so gay" so society make up the meanings if words now. p.s. i had a cousin who was raped by a teacher.

@artistenoire its sad because if someone close to you (or you yourself) got raped, you'd get how its not funny.. Its not being touchy, its being considerate.. I hate how popular the word is for the wrong meaning.. thank you for getting it.

@amantheosm117 Yeah, and my childhood wasn't "raped." I was just bored by this video. Rape is serious, violent, and brings real harm to men and women alike. Trying to trivialize the word hurts people, and will never make the topic of rape okay, funny, etc. Using this word in a trivial manner makes light of peoples' pain.
