@wawshaproductions Thanks for the info. My DX7 a/c doesn't have the throttle curve function (at least I think)... It's a good thing to know I wasn't alone.... I recently discovered YS 160 has same problem. Maybe it's time I should upgrade my radio.

@turboromy With gassers you need to enable a throttle curve on your radio or all of your throttle will be in the bottom half of your stick. This is very common especially with engines smaller than 70cc. If you dont have throttle curves, adjusting your endpoints can remedy the problem but not as well.

I strongly recommend this engine. It starts very easy with a regular starter motor.
One thing I am not happy with this engine is throttle response is kinda uncontrollable. I mean, at a bit above half throttle, it already is running at full throttle.

One and only one of its kind in You Tube some one who teaches this MLD Gas engine starting procedure. This is a good one.
How ever, if you initially make a close video of "choke", how you close it, how you open that and even all controlling parts like slow speed and high speed needle adjustment., Magnet and positioning (you have shown but , with more close up) It would be probably a Show stopper and you can show the world how best its can be.
Thanks & Regards

People were asking us about how we recommend starting. So we put together a quick vid of how we start the MLD-28S engine at our shop. It follows the manually in a fairly abbreviated fashion. We did not use anything special, but we did choose to use a more dangerous (harder) prop such as a Mejzlik. We wanted to show that with care, we can minimize much danger.
Mejzlik 18 x 6
Factory CDI
Side mount muffler
AMSOIL, Sabre Professional (2 cycle synthetic) mixed at 100-1
87 octane gasoline
