@leguan1 what slavery? no greeks lived under Stalin except for greek minorities in Caucasus. No greek ever had a master like Stalin, so brutal, so paranoid and ungrateful.
oversimplifying I think--the comment supposedly was why should I believe that bastard who sets up brothels" but do you have a source?
Look just to be a decent historian one cannot and everyone does it blame Stalin--he is a much more complicated man. We do this with all kinds of historical figures Lincoln comes to mind. If history is just agenda then Stalin or x or y becomes a prick (or an angel) no matter what he or she did or did not do.
You mean Stalin? No. But Sorge was a communist, he believed in the communist cause. And he didn't actually worked for Stalin, he answered to his immediate superior Yan Berzin, the head of the GRU, till the latter was shot during the Great Purge. From then Stalin started having doubts about Sorge. I take it you're having doubts too. But Sorge still thought that USSR needs him, he didn't want Hitler to win.
I wish this movie would come back to YouTube.

@am1966ath You are saying that all Greeks fought against their slavery, and none of Russians did?

@Holt1718 Stalin was the biggest prick of all, he survived by letting others take the blame and creating a personal cult that hid everything.
