@pattyayers You're absolutely right. In this case the F is with the left hand, putting it in the root, whereas the remainder of the chord is with the right hand. It's a technique she often uses (putting the 7th into the root/bass of a major or minor 7 instead of instead of in the melody/treble) It adds texture and soul to her piano playing.

Those chords after she sings, "or maybe we just stopped trying" - ah...so lush. Can any of you pianist tell me what the chord structure is there?
To call this song a classic would be a huge understatement. It is absolutely perfect both lyrically and musically. She is an amazing talent.
