@whynotmeutube Since the card is tethered to the FTDI cable and is not 'accelerating' per say, the accelerometer values are not rendered. However, the state estimation in the above example is using all 9 degrees of freedom. 3 x gyros, 3 x accelerometer, 3 x magnetometer.

This is what commonly perceived by first year or second year undergrads who tend to link DoF with freedom of movement. In some cases like the vibration of a pipe, it is correct to think DoF in this way. However, DoF is a much more general concept.
