Intellectual and historian Dr Mubarak Ali is a prolific and versatile writer who has produced around fifty books on issues ranging from the Age of Reason in Europe to the women's movement and the history of South Asia.
The objective of this seminar series is to understand the roots and dynamics of religious extremism within the context of Pakistani society, which could be referenced to evolve a strategy for de-radicalization of youth. Scholars will be invited to deliver talks in Urdu. The talks will involve a small audience with the key purpose to record and disseminate the lecture widely among the youth.

nice lecture but i disagree with that point that poet can not explain philosophy in their poetry. for that i must recommend him to study prof. ali arshad mir's book (ik katha de war) hope he will find satisfactory answer for rest of his life

It seems unbelievable that Mr Jinnah fought on the basis of two nation theory and upon the creation of Pakistan proposed a "secular" country. If secular country was the goal, then why bother struggling for Pakistan? Hindus were willing to establish a secular India!! What Jinnah must have meant is that minorities and are Pakistanis and are free to persue their religion and the state will not interfere !! In any case Pakistan is now a reality and we need to decide what kind of country we want

One of the problems with us Pakistanis is that of utter confusion. We can't make up our mind how progresseive we want to be against how traditional. We cannot achieve a goal if it is not set or clear. Confusion results in more confusion and loss of resources, time and achieving meaningful progress. We seem to mean well but are divided over how best to achieve it including religious parties.
