An often-forgotten classic from 1988, "Within the Dream" explores our inner dream spaces. It is soft and quiet, yet it burns with more poignant passion than any piece I know of. The delicate, elaborate, watery, shimmery sounds and warm, vibrant rhythms envelope the sensitive listener with the new age awakening so prevalent in the year it was produced (Harmonic Convergence, Oct 1987; Whitley Streiber's "Communion", etc.), and it invites us all to remember to keep alive within our minds and hearts not only our own most-special visions and memories, but also the ever-present "Dream" of our times for a better world of love and higher consciousness.
"Within the Dream" is joyous and blissful, yet has a tragic tinge to it too. In fact, after I posted it, with the pictures of Martin and Bobby, I remembered that it resembles the Dion song "Abraham, Martin and John."

I have often played "Within the Dream" to remember someone. This is also the 3rd piece in a row I uploaded with "Communion" in the title.

This is probably the first time I've heard this for about 15 years. I taped his music from a Philly radio program called, "Star's End," that used to air from 1-5am! Thanks for the trip.
