@knockdoun The activation energy is already given by the glowing of the splint. But yet there is not enough temperature to set the splint on fire.
The activation energy is not changed. But when there is a higher percentage of oxygen, more of it can react with the wood in a smaller volume.
More reaction per volume means higher temperature and for this reason the glowing splint reignites.
