CC, I could listen to your tunes all day.
Fantastic tune!! I'm a revial Mod from 79' - going down to Brum from Edinburgh on the 1st of May for the 30 year revival Mod anniversary. I will say though I lost my way in the 80's with bands such as Makin Time, The Moments and the Prisoners etc.due to my kids coming along. I'm just about to purchase Rhythm: the Complete Countdown Recordings.
-
The most under-rated band of the 80's.
-
it was about that time i seen them at the limelight in belfast, i was always a mod at heart and there style of music appealed to me, wasnt until l8r on that i found out that martin blunt was actually in makin time

Tim was huge Charlies fan in 80's nd watched most their gigs(4 man band),Steve introduced Tim to Blunt of Tim's band 'the electric crayons',at the rehearsal Tim did his thing, jumpin round crazy til Blunt took him aside sayin'could you just sing for us'.
-
cheers m8 for the info, i'm sure a read somewhere or it was a tim burgess interview saying he met blunt at a prisoners gig, you seem to know your stuff, so you could correct me if i'm wrong, seen the charlatans a few times, 1st time was at the limelight in belfast must've been around the 91 period, only one i know was just out and bought the record at the gig

I'm Alex pal,Eck is short for that.Tim did say that, but at that time the main influence were Joy Division, which also influenced the Acid scene aswell as the slower sounds bands like the Charlies were makin,They started off fast tempo then became slower.
