HILARY- Drop Your Pants 1983

I loved this back in the 8o's Classic Retro 80's techno synth !!!

In 1983, Hilary Blake, a 33 year old from Los Angeles released a 4 track 12-inch single called KINETIC. That song got some airplay on WLIR, but it was the B-side that made fans long for more Hilary. As far as I know, she never released anything else.

She was once asked about promotional videos and she replied "Yes - there is a video for Kinetic. Actually, I wanted to do a cartoon video for Drop Your Pants, but the people at the label thought DYP would never get any airplay. So ...of course...DYP broke out as my single and I had no video for it."

@taskboy Yeah, that's right they used to play "I'm a homosapien too!" all the time! KQAK basically shaped my entire taste in music for the better. I loved their morning show too. Bobcat Goldthwait used to be on it all the time. We used to listen to KUSF too when it would come in. I had tin foil and wires all over my bedroom walls to get a signal lol!

Ya. I remember this song and lots of Peter Shelley. I listened to that station a lot as an early teen. That and a lot of college radio. I lived in the South Bay so we got KFJC (Foothill College), KSCU (Santa Clara) etc. Good times.
