4:05 Why do people say "Thank you" when a cop gives them a ticket? I do the same thing reflexively, and every time I ask myself afterwards why the Hell I'm thanking them for ruining my day.
-
did you prevail at trial?
-
gee it seems NH should be totally free now with all the activism of the free staters. have you made any progress?
-
It blows my mind that some imbecile judge decided the police can lie to you but not vice versa.
-
realistically, they do not have a right to know where you are going, or where you came from. all they need to do is run your license, and if you are not a criminal...they should let you go. Personal information is not their right to know.

She does have the right to ask whatever questions she wants, provided it does not measurably extend the stop beyond the time it takes to issue the citation (unless she has at least reasonable and articulable suspicion of another crime).
But Dave is right—he does not have to ANSWER those questions, except as he accepted getting his driver's license, such as providing license, insurance, and registration.

@minimaluhftv Ya, there's that as well as all the work he does to keep you happily sailing along with your rights. Not big deal, Daves a humble guy.

The rest of the country could learn a thing or two from NH, dontcha think?

@minimaluhftv
This guy is standing up for his rights. More of us should do this.
