And she holds the high A for a full twenty seconds (starting at 3.24)...most other singers only hold it for 10 seconds! (check out the others on youtube).....

It is true what Agodipino says: the scenery is squalid and surely the scenery and the costumes like those in Lucrezia Borgia in 2002 at the Scala would have been much better. Yet in my opinion this is the best Lucrezia Borgia I ever heard from the musical and vocal point of view. The fabulous music of this opera of Donizetti's is rendered perfectly by all the singers, the chorus and the orchestra director. My compliments to all the team.
