  • Hi! Have you a bibliography/source where you found that? I'd be interested because I always thought that Mozart limited his comment to "watch out this boy", but not in the context of repeating by ear a tune. I also thought the existence of next meetings was pretty controversial, even if not quite sure. Thx anyway for any feedback.

  • I found the infomation from a book called "A Freindly Guide to Beethoven". It is by John Suchet and Darren Henley. Hope this helps!

  • This is meant to be tongue in cheek - a bit of humor, a chuckle. Not to be taken serious.

  • they did meet, but obviously not like this. beethoven had lessons with haydn and mozart, though his time with mozart was brief. mozart did say something about that beethoven would soon astonish the world, and theres a drawing of beethoven playing for mozart believed made at the time

  • @7777Scion I seem to remember reading somewhere that someone once asked Beethoven what Mozart's piano playing style sounded like to him and he replied "clipped". I'm not quite sure exactly what he meant but, if this is true, it does appear to indicate that they met at some point.

  • interesting!

  • what would you think Beethoven would say if he saw this? And were still alive...-.- Beethoven is my fav composer and you CANNOT publish this for the Beethoven fans!!! *cries* he lost his hearing and cut his piano legs off to get vibration and he kept on going. Hes a great composer and this is OFFENSIVE

  • The tunes sound the same :D

  • @7777Scion IF they did meet, and this hole thing was true, mozart played turkish march and then beethoven played his turkish march.

  • no one knows if they meet.
