it makes vocals sound richer and clearer
an also it is mainly for keeping volumes
balanced so when you move far away
it will give your vocals gain
an when you scream or get loud it will
decrease your volumes so it doesnt clip or peak but im sure people use it also for a vocal effect to but yeah using one can make a difference when your having volume troubles or your recordings are clipping or peaking
