Native American drum group, Four Rivers Drum, played ceremonial songs at Norfolk Botanical Garden in Norfolk, VA to honor a wild, female bald eagle who had taken up residence at the Garden, but was killed April 26th after being struck by an airplane.

Hundreds of eagle enthusiasts and fans of WVEC's 'Eagle Cam' came out to show their support and pay their respects to the beloved eagle.

  • I was SO pleased that 4 Rivers could perform on such short notice. I was particularly moved by the opening flute. The whole event just felt *right*..

  • Many thanks to the Four Rivers Drum Group and the Norfolk Botanic Gardens for this ceremony.

  • Very nice:) Thank you
