Macedonian Folk Song - Jovano, Jovanke

Scene from the macedonian movie from 1961 "solunskite atentatori" - the assassins of Solun (Salonica), the film is about a group of young ethnic Macedonian intellectuals who can't stand any longer the bad treetment of their Macedonian people under the Ottoman control. Therefore they decide to assault some locations in the town of Solun (Salonica) in order to attract the attention of the Western Europe countries to intervene in Ottoman ruled Macedonia.
The actor Petre Prlicko plays a father who searches for his son but he don't know that he already died in an assault. By singing the old macedonian song Jovano, Jovanke he complains about the role of the parents in the battle for the liberation of Macedonia.
