I use to play this 24 7 and if they still had the servers going, i would't even own a fucking xbox 360 or anything id own a ps2, mgo, quit my job. and Play everyday till I Die

This was one of the best online games I've ever played. The simplicity made it so much more fun than modern day shooters which are just about k/d and levels.

This is overrated, completely. I played back in the day, and the MGO we have now is far superior. Loving the original is another fad made up by the internet community. We do it with many things. The older, the better! The original is always the best! Pokemon R/B/Y is the best, because it came first! Yeah! Metallica's old albums are good because they're old! Yeah! The only good Final Fantasies are for the SNES! Yeah! Get the fuck over yourselves. Fucking internet.

I'd like MGO2 (MGS4) more if I didn't have to do level-up bullshit, just to run a little faster, or to have decent techniques.
MGO1 wasn't perfect, but it was more about skill than putting in hours, and Sneaking Mission (everyone vs Snake) was far superior and fun.
And the weapon pick ups created a reason to advance through the map.
Oh, and the best Final Fantasies (4+6) were on the SNES, and I'll take Metallica, pre-Load, vs. Load-onward any day.
