  • You remind me of my softball coach ! Lol

  • I am a 6th grade catcher and this woman really helped me. I hope I can do better. ^__^

  • This was a terrible video to watch and really not helpful

  • un organized

  • @Mara03851 Yes, or else the bat or ball can hit your hand, and you can get called for interference.

  • does anyone know how i can get in contact with this lady??

  • Cool vid.

  • she forgot to tell that as a catcher that you CAN catch foul balls for the out! Even If the batter tips the ball with his or her bat, the catcher can catch that for the out. Catcher can catch any nearby foul balls for the out. That's why the catcher has more opportunities to make outs than right field.

  • Softballangle66 is right, i always drop my knee's if there low and if the pitch is a strike it wont change to a ball. THis person know's what shes talking about. SO SHUT UP!!

  • Okay guys, she's right. On any pitch you want to get your body behind the ball...That's why you have gear. But you SHOULD although it's not a necessity (if you want to hurt your hand you can, it's your choice) tuck your hand behind your back or behind your leg to avoid it getting hit. And dropping to your knees or is not going to affect what the ump calls. He sees where the ball goes and sometimes, maybe it will, but not most of the time. They usually look at your glove. I'm a catcher, I know :D
