  • I enjoy your videos very much... Please keep them coming...I'm Cuban and as you can imagine, Capablanca is a hero to me.

Do you make these videos out of passion or do you actually teach or play chess competitively?

    In any event, great job!

  • Muchas gracias amigo.

Yes, I play chess competitively. I'm an amateur chess player who enjoys sharing his passion for chess.

  • Awesome video Manju!

  • Thanks jrobichess.

  • I think it's strange that a player good enough to reach the end only a pawn down to capablanca even though it's a simul didn't see h4

  • I don't think playing h4 is soley due "push candidate passed pawns" it forces Zugzwang upon black, meaning any move he makes worsens his position.

  • @Majnu2006 me too because really is a very amazing game

  • I think i agree with you. I didn't think it until he said the opponent was an amateur. He was probably making a point...

  • for some reason i have a feeling capablanca knew wut he was doing. maybe im wrong but anything is possible in chess. great video majnu.

  • I'm proud to have noticed h4 before you suggested it. :)

Did Capablanaca realise his mistake when he moved? Or did he only realise this after the game?

The ultimate "blunder" by a GM was Kramnik against a computer. He played a random Queen move that let the computer more or less back rank mate him. The computer was obviously a bit better than the amateur above. It is amazing to think that he could get into that position v Capablanca, and then miss g5!

  • Very nice! Even the legends make mistakes!
