  • @ridinhood666 Yeah. I've been abused one way or another so I get depressed a lot and really ignoring the fact I am makes it bottle up and then I either don't do anything or get really angry, say stuff I don't mean, and then get even more depressed. I get nightmares all the time and I hate sleeping, but I can't not sleep because I'm always so tired. I've been trying to run from it but I can't. And I know it's been awhile since you posted this so, how's it going currently? Any tips?

  • who spilled paint on you?

  • i agree that excercise can help.im 13 and have had thoughts of suicide since i was 10,and also have realized i had it since i was 8.i LOVE soccer.i have a strong passion for it and hope to be a professional some day.it keeps my mind off of being sad.great tips

  • i indulge in metal melodic music ;(

  • @ridinhood666 damn same exact stuff here man

  • seems the more i avoided my feelings, cos it's easy 4 other ppl 2 say 'cheer up'. worse it gets, cos when i close the door at night, and every1s gone home, i'm left alone, with my thoughts!

  • @Montyleeny14 i had depression since childhood! been given meds, kinda works 4 me, calms me down abit! but i repressed me feelings, even hit the jim 4 while! my body got fitter 4 it, a least.. i put on the smile 4 ppl, i try 2 leave my past behind, or even so much as convince myself tht it didn't happen!!!!! but then there's the nightmares. so i don't sleep! then there's flashbacks, daymares, and i can't even stand 2 be awake neither.

  • I cant do any activity !!! I feel tired all the time !!

  • The thing the instructor hasn't considered is that avoiding emotions can build up. You can avoid, avoid, avoid and avoid as much as you want, but the emotions you are avoiding and preventing from haunting you will still be present. If they do end up haunting you, the depression you will next experience would be far worse.

At its end, depression cannot be treated; and to tackle depression, such emotions must be confronted and stamped upon. If you avoid them, you will only worsen your condition
