acer problems in lcd display

My computer has problems with the screen lcd only the Acer notebook Travelmate 4670 series have this defect on the screen or in the graphic card

you could also check the ribbon cable in the back of monitor and see if that's loose

@snow2009ish It's not a virus, it's the Nvidia GeForce 8xxx-series "Bumpgate" manufacturing defect.

In MXM notebooks, replacing the MXM card with an ATI or non-8xxx-series Nvidia permanently fixes it. In non-MXM systems, a reflow/reball is the best fix (though it is only temporary).

I have 4 of these exact same laptops here with the same problems I would avoid this model at all cost!!!!

TRY UNINSTALL ACER EPOWER!!! also uninstall eframework while you are there this will porobably fix your problem..

mine do the same. it's an Acer Travelmate 5530G.. think it's normal for Acer :/

That looks like the LCD ribbon cable has slightly dislodged from the back of the LCD panel. To fix, unscrew the front bezel, then unscrew the LCD panel, tilt the panel forwards so you can get to the back and carefully remove the peice of tape that secures the connector to the panel. Next unplug the connector then firmly reconnect, replace the peice of tape and re-assemble.

If that doesn't fix it, then the panel itself may be faulty, but 90% of the time it is that LCD connection.

I've got the same problem now... Any fix yet? I've checked all components, I'm pretty sure it's either the mother board, the screen cables/connectors or the screen itself.
