Lol it's so obvious that this "interviewer" was spliced into the video and that she was really speaking to someone else. Since they are using subtitles anyways, I don't see why they went to all that trouble.

@semperwifi1 Well, it was shot for Chinese TV, so his part was necessary, but she doesn't speak Chinese--It's possible that either the interviewer or another person spoke to her in English separately.

@chrismcgovernmusic She seems to be independent and disciplined, yet a fun person to hang around with. I'd like to shake hands with her parents and teachers; she's clearly the result of a proper upbringing both as a musician and, more importantly, as a person.

@MerlinTheDraconic she means she would read while taking a break from the violin. Taking a 30 break during a practice session is quite a lot, although not a lot of reading in itself

@chrismcgovernmusic yes exactly. I wouldn't have bothered with this talking head. I'd just keep the whole conversation in English and subtitle the entire thing. Surely they have some photogenic English-speaking interviewers. But I'm just nitpicking. Seems CCTV's production values still have room for improvement.
