Daddy, it's so hard trying to be happy this Christmas knowing you left us only 1 week ago. I promise to be strong for Mom altho my heart is broken in a million pieces. My Grandma passed away couple hours ago at age 87. Lived a long life loving the Lord and her church. Spent her last 3 years at a nursing home but thankfully her alzheimers never let her forget who we were and she went peacefully in her sleep. I love you Grandma

Ive lost 7 friends in the past year due to suiside. This song, makes me think of everyone of them. Josh, Sam, Rob, Travis, Cloe, Alex, and Jessica. I miss you guys. I just found out my friends's mama passed yesterday. I cant imagine what its like to loose your Mom. My Mom hasnt been the best, but I know I'd be torn up if it happened to my Mom or Dad. So, Here's to the kids who've lost a parent. The kids who will be the strongest people when they get older. Here's to ya'll.

My little sister just passed away a few minutes before midnight tonight. My wife and I (trying to harmonize) sang this to her as one of four songs we sang in the ICU. We do that in our family. We're very old fashioned church folk. It's what we do. And this song PERFECTLY reflects my sister's life. So, with the word's "son" replaced with "girl" ....it was the one. Thanks again Vince for writing this tune. It's brought so much peace to so many folk.
