Yes what a joke this is, not funny, but a joke all the same. If these trees go there's over 150 fig trees earmarked for removal. At around $70 000 a tree that's quite a racket.
If the thugs get that kind of cash flowing all the decent folk in this town might as well find somewhere else to live. The crime bosses in NY fight over hauling garbage, what a shame Newcastle's mobsters can't think of anything more creative than cutting down trees. If they succeed we should rename it Red Neck City!

I hope that little Alfie makes a full recovery.
Two years ago I was parked in Laman Street and a bird 'went to the toilet' (if you will pardon my language) above my car. It took me almost thirty seconds to remove the mess from the windscreen. It was then that I realised that the trees have to go.
