i have a d16y8 97 civic coupe..would this benefit me to do this..put a y7 block under my y8 head??
-
@EvokDubstep ohh thanks but i decided to go with a B18C, GS-R engine instead, im getting a 98 civic ferio for $1800 with it installed and imma just swap engines. thanks though it came in handy

In general if you do mini me swap and you still have a 7,500 rpm redline, its crap. A mini me with a redline less than 8k rpm will fall on its face. considering if you havent done any major mods to it. A dohc ecu with a piggyback makes a huge enough difference.

@Beldar4214 Technically, yes. but not all d15's have the same stroke. The D15 that comes in HF crx's have a 84.5 mm stroke instead of the standard 90mm. Also the deck height is different with some d series blocks so it would be the equivalent to milling the head if you have one of the shorter deck blocks (D15B JDM) . i Think even the D14's had a short deck block.
