To me one of the most interesting details is his DAW (though not really discussed in this segment); for years I thought he was running ProTools 2.0 at the time of filming, but now I wonder if it's really the early version of Digital Performer, which was originally the front-end for ProTools; as we know he utilized the MOTU platform to record Talk after his studio was upgraded by Charlie Bolois. But it's a nice example of how Trevor has always been in the technical vanguard.

I like this "performance" by Trevor much better than "Solly´s Beard"...

And, man, this guy´s a ninja, truly an ace on the strings! Unbelievable!

Thanks for this. Trevor's tone and playing are so beautiful. I adore his acoustic brushstrokes on guitar as much as when he plays electric. Also love him discussing some of the technical gear, equipment & set-up of his home studio. This white Alvarez Yairi DY88 Semi-acoustic guitar (technically Semi-due to the pluggin in amplification), of Trevor's is one of my favorites of his, which he played Solly's Beard on the 1991 Union Tour..just stunning.

These days Trevor passed on the torch of this very guitar & frontman, singer, songwriter Christian Zucconi, of Trevor's son, Ryan's band, Grouplove, plays this guitar..Trevor's guitar which Christian talks up in an 10/26/2011 Spin Magazine Interview..That's why this guitar sounds so good! It's got Trevor's magical artistry & musical mojo! Would love to hear Trevor play this guitar live again someday soon.
