so i'v schooled without stirrups for a month now and she's going really well, each time i school her is better then the last and she feels amazing to ride once she's loosened up. I can really focus on what i need to work on now too, as soon as i get that outside leg around her she drops into an outline in canter and is so willing but i'm getting a lesson soon to get my ass in gear :)

*loose draw reins help her to focus, NOT to pin her head in.*
*yes, i am aware i am bear foot and without a hat, i'm still alive.*
*and i am aware my riding is pants in this too*

@sarahhorsemad i am not judgeing your horse i am questioning your judgement. My horse is one of the gentlest horses you can find, everyone will say to you how good he is yet he threw me and trampled my head, there are accidents and then there are moments when you come inches away from dieing, my hat saved my life i have fell of 20+ times and only one would have been fatal without a hat but that is my point you NEVER know what your horse is going to do, you can predict when you will need a hat.

@sarahhorsemad no but you should at least think about it i mean look at that girl who died leading her horse in from the field because he spooked, if that doesn't make you wake up to how dangerous horses can be i don't know what will, our yard has a rule everyone MUST wear hats and under 14's have to wear hats in the field too and be assisted by an adult and i agree with it
