There are those out there in YouTube land that love to make dubious use of comment blocking. Admittedly, they are not all Christian, but this video discuses my encounter with two Christians who block opposing points of view. Why do they do it? They wish to prop up questionable arguments put forth on their videos, and to make themselves seem more competent than they really are.

  • I was just banned today for essentially making the comment that just because there may be more than one "source" for the existence of jesus that just makes him like Socrates. Everything is a second or third hand account so you have to take it with a grain of salt. 2 mins later BANNED! it seems like everytime I watch a video claiming to prove atheists wrong you either cannot comment at all or you comment is pending approval and it naturally is never approved. They don't want to actually debate.

  • @s5b678 Agreed, they don't want debate, just comments from adoring "fans" with nothing critical to say. Truly fucking annoying.

  • I WAS BLOCKED BY HIM AND I POSTED GOOD COMMENTS!

  • @interfaithcreation Keith and that Purushadasa really are the worst kind of Youtubers. Personally I believe Keith blocks users that escalate the debate over his heads. Purushadasa just seem nuts, the channel is just a propaganda machine.

  • Some Christians may comment excessively on videos like this until you block & delete their comments, then make a video about you blocking them & saying how hypocritical you are.

If this happens don't play their game at the very least screen shot the comments before removing them.

  • After much religious debating, I've found 9/10 christians disable comments or require approval for comments.

  • I ran into this person as well, received outright abusive, irrelevant objections to my comment, had it removed, and was summarily blocked.

I don't know why youtube even allows such censorship. If you want to put your thoughts up in the public square, you should be subject to the same criticism as everyone else.

Comment approval is an invitation to censorship.

  • I mean compliments! whats up with the blocking
