Look - if you left the debt for the market to clear up itself naturally. The market can find the right price. Instead you're proposing that the government try and second guess what the market wants and fix the prices for them. It's doomed to failure. It wont work.
No shit if they don't bailout there's going to be downturn much sooner than. The consequences of the bailout stand to be far longer lasting and far worse.
