I dont personally think hitchcock will enjoy cloverfeild as well as he wouldnt think its crap... i would say that hitchcock would see it as a new genre like the blair witch, quarintine and cloverfeild as a different genre. therefore he wouldnt know... he specialises in suspense... cloverfeild is limp and linear which a lot of films are like today
