This is weird! Ernman looks and acts a man so convincingly that it's a shock when she starts singing and it's in the mezzo range and not baritone--a first for any Fledermaus production that I've ever seen or heard.

I have 3 points to make:
1) this is the best version of this aria I have ever heard;
2) it is fascinating how such a beautiful woman can pass as a man so convincingly;
3) this year we got a proof that the Swedes take Eurovision seriously - they've sent the single greatest singer their country has at the moment! :)

I was unable to locate my favourable singer until the gentleman started singing. Well, she has other talent.

Turn on the tv, press play on the dvd, poor yourself a glass of champagne, or two if you like, sit back and enjoy a fantastic production.
You can dance if you want...... It is from the waltz king after all.
