  • I feel like horror is the only good thing to come out of Mexico other than girls and weed.

  • It's kind of stupid to ask the question why they remade it and didn't just release the original in the states. The reason is money. They thought hey let's make a remake of rec and cash in on it.

  • Remake wasn't bad either lol...

  • dude I hear what your saying, but I disagree letter box pisses on me when I'm trying to watch a movie I'd rather watch the film full screen. Letter box makes me feel like I'm missing half the picture so I have to zoom its kinda annoying and an inconvenience. They shouldn't really of made a remake but that's only because its in subtitles which is also an inconvenience I read well but I'm missing half the crazy shit that's going on because I'm trying to read the fucking subtitles. write back!

  • What's the song in the beginning?

  • Saw about 20 minutes of it on the bigscreen before it gave me motion sickness. Luckilly I have it on dvd now. But film theatres should give you warnings.

  • "Yeah, I saw it 3 years ago when it was called REC idiot!" hahahaha

That happens to me all the time at work, and I hate it!

  • Yeah, I'd heard about plans for a THING remake, and threw up in my mouth a little. Here's an idea that's SLIGHTLY less bankrupt, Hollywood- A sequel that continues the premise! Was Childs the Thing? Did he and MacReady get rescued, or did they freeze? At least there's a little imagination there. But NOOOO!

  • John Carpenter's The Thing is a great film I watch it everytime it's on TV even though I have the DVD of it. It's the best example of a quality remake too, but sadly there is going to be a remake of the remake coming sometime soon. Hollywood truly has run out of ideas and lost it's imagination.

  • In general, remakes tend to suck- But there have been some good ones over the years (Carpenters THE THING, f'r'instance.) However, I agree, remaking a foreign film shot for shot just for US release is stupid and pointless.
